Tunisia-House speaker Rached Ghannouchi meets US Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Clarke Cooper

Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives Rached Ghannouchi received US Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs at Bardo palace.
The meeting focused on the comparable point of views between Tunisia and the US on various regional issues, including the Libyan crisis. It emphasised the necessity to prioritise a political resolution to the Libyan crisis, pursue efforts to counter-terrorism and extremism and anchor values of freedom and democracy.
Both officials communicated a commitment to boost bilateral cooperation, especially in economic, cultural, tourism and legislative fields.
