Tunisia-Houssem Hammi: The electoral regime is at the origin of the political crisis in the country

Speaking yesterday on a private radio, the general coordinator of the Coalition Soumoud addressed the latest political events in the nation. Hammi maintained that the electoral regime is at the heart of the political crisis in Tunisia, stating it has fostered impunity for corrupt people.

Calling for a more streamlined political regime that can ensure the transparency of the elections, Hammi praised the implementation of the July 25 measures. Nevertheless, he called on President Kais Saied to set the duration of the state of emergency.
