Tunisia-I Watch:Mechichi Government: incompetent and lack humanity

I Watch announced that former prime ministers since 2018 have sought to delay the release of the decree declaring assets and interests. The organization pointed out that this was at the root of the absence of trust between citizens and officials, stipulating, in the same context, that delaying the publication of the decree confirms that political actors do not believe in the principles of transparency and accountability.

“The prime minister and the members of his team are not only incompetent but they likewise lack humanity and responsibility towards these people,” the same statement read.

Pointing to the oxygen shortage, I Watch condemned the fact that Hichem Mechichi was not aware of the health situation in the country, particularly the catastrophic situation of hospitals. An indication that the Head of Government has failed to handle the epidemiological crisis, I Watch called on Hichem Mechichi to step down.
