Tunisia- Imad Ben Halima clarifies Ennahda members attempt to settle Karoui file in exchange of withdrawing for Mourou

In an official statement to “Tunisie Numérique” member of Nabil Karoui defence team and local politician, Imad Ben Halima debunked circulating rumours regarding a possible compromise to resolve Karoui
case in direct exchange for his prompt withdrawal from the presidential race for the profit of Abdelfattah Mourou.

Halima said these allegations were fabricated and without any foundation pointing out that he visited Karoui who denied the allegations .
He further  promptly confirmed that withdrawal from the presidential race is not possible adding that Mohsen Marzouk retreat for the direct benefit of Abdelkarim Zbidi is not a legal withdraw because his official name remained on the ballot papers like other nominees.
He  proceeded to say that the news comes as a trial to redirect and disseminate apparent confusion to eliminate Karoui for the benefit of Mourou, which the HAICA tried to endeavour before being blocked by the ISIE who announced Karoui and Kaïs Saïed advancement to the second round.
