The Ennahdha movement will not continue discussions unless there is a move to form a political national unity government that bans no one, said the party official spokesperson Imed Khmiri in a declaration to the TAP agency.
Khmiri reemphasised his party’s stance on withdrawing its members from the government proposed by prime minister-designate Elyes Fakhfakh. The government formation offered by Fakhfakh to President Kais Saied on Saturday is based on “discrimination and exclusion,” he pointed out.
He added that “there are diverging views regarding Elyes Fakhfakh’s cabinet as it involves various independents. This does not reflect Ennahdha’s vision which promotes a political national unity government”.
Khmiri added that the list submitted by the PM-designate constitutes false independents who belong to political parties. He mentioned the example of the Minister of Communication Technologies and Digital Transition.
Khmiri underlined that Ennahda movement is in courtesy of a national unity government, one which has parties represented in parliament (except those that exclude themselves), calling for boosting confidence among all political parties to provide all necessary conditions for the success of the next government.
