During a meeting, the regional health crisis unit of the governorate of Manouba decided to close down an industrial unit specializing in the food industries in Djedeida and subject all its staff which numbers more than 45 workers, to quarantine and perform Covid-19 tests for those to be determined by the investigation of the regional health directorate.
The move comes after a worker died Sunday at Charles Nicole Hospital, succumbing to an infection with the coronavirus.
The owner of the industrial unit was informed of the decision to close until the safety of staff is ensured and the spread of the pandemic in their family and social environment is prevented.
The regional health directorate will launch an investigation operation near the family and occupational infection to identify those in contact with the deceased and make the necessary health decisions to prevent further spread of the infection.
