The Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord affirmed that a preliminary agreement had been reached with Tunisia to reopen the borders.
The ministry announced that a meeting took place today in Tunis between a Libyan delegation with officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address “` urgent and persistent issues, foremost of which is the issue of opening crossings and expediting the task of moving citizens between the two countries, ‘ during the meeting an agreement in principle was agreed to form a unified health protocol between the two countries in an urgent manner, followed by opening the space Air between the two countries, crossing border was agreed to be opened at a later time.
On the other hand, a meeting took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Jerandi and the Undersecretary for Technical Affairs in the Libyan Foreign Ministry. During the meeting, it was agreed on the necessity to expedite the resolution of all issues which are among the most urgent work priorities between the two brotherly countries, reads a statement by the Libyan Foreign Ministry website.
