Tunisia- Initiative to review sanction of bad checks, Association of Banks asks for clarifications

After a session held in Parliament on November 26, 2020, regarding the bill associating to the revision of the provisions of the bounced check of the Commercial Code, the member of the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions, Rim Lassoued stated that there are complications in implementing these revisions.

Speaking to a private Radio,Lassoued revealed that the Association of Banks is asking for more clarification on new concepts that have not been adequately explained, such as electronic checks and electronic endorsement and certification institutions.

She also indicated that there was a dispute in the legal and applied concepts and chapters of the bill in addition to the problems related to the use of electronic checks.
