Interior Minister Hichem Mechichi, met with UK ambassador in Tunis Louise De Sousa.
The meeting addressed cooperation between the two countries, including continuing projects, in their bilateral and multilateral dimensions, a declaration of the Interior Ministry reads.
The Interior Minister emphasised the necessity to additionally extend the distinguished cooperation between the two countries in the fields of security, especially in training, border, airport and port security, as well as in the fight against terrorism and organised crime.
The UK Ambassador in Tunis welcomed the level of bilateral relations.
She also commended the professionalism of the Interior Ministry’s officials and staff in the management of crises linked to the fight against the spread of the coronavirus, as well as in the fight against terrorism and crime, according to the same source.
De Sousa also expressed her country’s commitment to continue to support the various structures of the Ministry in the fields of training and logistics.
