Generating confusion and considerable uncertainty, an official inquiry has begun in order to investigate 100 pages implicated and accused of spreading false news concerning the president passing on social media.
According to the newspaper “Al-Bayan,” names of the pages’ owner will be announced. Moreover, they will be properly investigated over their sources of funding as well as their political orientations. Furthermore, they said that all parties involved will be held responsible.
Previously, false rumors concerning the president passing were spread on social media. The news coincided with twin terrorist bombings that shook Tunisia on the 27th.
