Tunisia: Iranian ambassador threatens Israel with sophisticated weapons

The Iranian ambassador to Tunisia, Masoud Husseiniyan, addressed this Monday, April 15, 2024, to the Iranian attack against Israel carried out last Saturday.

In a statement to Mosaïque FM, he asserted that it was unlikely that the Zionist entity would launch a new military escalation after the Iranian reaction to the strikes on the consular section inside the Iranian embassy in Damascus, foreshadowing that the response would be restricted because she fears an expansion of the war, according to her.

He also underlined that his country’s response would be stronger and more severe than the attack carried out by drones and missiles against the Zionist entity.

“In my opinion, the response will be limited because they fear an expansion of the war… We have cautioned that our response will be more severe than the first… and our response will be more severe if Israel renews military operations,” he said.

He emphasised that Iran possesses sophisticated weapons and that the weapons used in response to Israeli aggression represent only part of the military capabilities at its disposal.

“You know all the sophisticated weapons that we employed in this response, they are all local, after the economic and military blockade imposed on Iran for 40 years… and this operation was only a small demonstration of the military capabilities that we own,” he added.
