The President of the Independent Higher Authority for Elections, Farouk Bouasker believed during a press conference held this Thursday, June 30, 2022, that the participation of the UGTT at the head of 27 organizations and associations candidates for the Referendum is a positive sign for an extensive free and pluralist campaign with a respectable turnout.
He added that one cannot compare the number of candidates for the Referendum with that of the legislative or municipal elections, because the referendum occurs in a single electoral constituency in Tunisia and abroad one could on the other hand compare it to the presidential elections.
