Iyadh Elloumi was inaugurated by Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) Rached Ghannouchi as head of the Finance Committee , the inauguration was attended by members of the committee’s bureau.
| House speaker Ghannouchi stressed the significance of this committee, given the part it performs in these tough times.
He requested for hastening the examination of bills proposed to it to meet the government’s needs, in terms of mobilisation of financial resources as well as the fundamental tools and means to contain the coronavirus pandemic and its economic, financial and social consequences on the country. Elloumi stated, for his part, the committee’s readiness to proceed work with a view to contributing to the national forces to fight the spread of COVID-19. |
