Tunisia-Iyadh Elloumi: Nabil Karoui’s right to a fair trial would be threatened with such reports

Speaking at a press conference,Qalb Tounes MP, Iyadh Elloumi said that the legal specialists in Nabil Karoui case perpetrated errors. which could even be deemed as “false”.
Among other things, the experts’ reports included identical financial transaction four times. They mention a sum of money transferred from outside the territory, while Nabil Karoui has confirmed that this money originates from the sale of land in Tunisia, said Elloumi.

He also emphasised that, given his political views, one of the experts lacks fairness, and should consequently refuse himself.

Elloumi said administrative and disciplinary punishments should be taken against the experts in question, saying the party will solely consider criminal solutions as a last resort.
