The spokesperson for the Scientific Committee for the Fight against Coronavirus, Jalila Ben Khalil, confirmed that the pandemic rebound should not be worrying, recollecting that this slight wave was foreseeable.
Speaking to a private radio, Ben Khalil reasoned that this wave primarily targets those who have not received a booster dose and that they received the last dose of vaccine for more than 5 months. She revealed that the increase in the number of cases was not marked by the recording of severe forms of the disease or the increase in the rate of hospitalizations, adding that the Ministry of Health regularly sends text messages to those affected by the administration of the booster dose.
Unfortunately, the latter does not move to the vaccination centres. Ben Khalil called on people vaccinated for more than 5 months who had not received the booster dose to go to vaccination centres to boost their immunity.
