Tunisia-Jalila Ben Khalil rules out any new coronavirus pandemic in Tunisia

Jalila Ben Khalil, spokesperson for the scientific committee responsible for combating the spread of coronavirus, reported that only two coronavirus infections have been registered recently, which does not indicate a new coronavirus pandemic in Tunisia.

Ben Khalil clarified that our region is generally little impacted by the new coronavirus variant compared to Europe and the United States, where it is spread.

She also emphasised that current vaccines are still effective against the new variant, according to the World Health Organization, she assured on the airwaves of radio.
