Tunisia-Jalila Ben Khelil: The vaccine is not a miracle solution at this stage

Coronavirus Scientific Commission member Dr Jalila Ben Khelil said that the vaccine will not achieve wonders at this stage.

Speaking to the national radio,

Dr Ben Khelil maintained the health situation has become extremely severe as community transmission has grown. According to her, in this context of “relaxation”, there will be challenges as to the vital rate of transmission.

Add to that the inability to immunize everyone. The vaccine will consequently not be able to do miracles at such a stage, particularly since people affected by the virus frequently do not know by whom they were infected.

Note that Ben Khelil indicated that the scientific committee cannot say whether or not the peak of the second wave of the pandemic has been reached.
