A 70-year-old man was killed after being fatally struck by a train. The train was coming from Tunis to Ghardimaeu.
The deceased is a shepherd who was with his sheep shortly before the accident. When he passed the train tracks, the irreparable happened. The man died on the spot.
A report was established in the presence of the representative of the public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Jendouba.
The body, for its part, was transported to the Jendouba regional hospital. An inquiry was opened to determine responsibilities.
