Tunisia – Jendouba: Seizure of 6 tons of subsidized flour

On Monday, October 21, 2024, economic control agents in Jendouba seized a quantity of subsidized fine flour that had been stored in one of the rural areas of the Oued Meliz delegation in Jendouba Governorate. This was confirmed by Ahmed Tlili, the regional director of trade and export development in Jendouba, in a statement to TAP.

The same source clarified that the quantity seized amounted to 60 quintals, including 34 quintals of subsidized flour, and confirmed that the seizure process was carried out in the presence of agents of the National Guard, adding that the confiscated quantity had been deposited in a space that did not meet the minimum conservation conditions and in the absence of any legal basis authorizing its owner to do so.
