Due to the health situation in the world and the recent constraints recently declared at the national level to halt the spread of COVID-19, the 22nd edition of the Journées Théâtrales de Carthage (JTC) will not take place this year.
The Ministry of Cultural Affairs stated that the festival will take place in 2021 while the date of the next meeting will be communicated later.
The JTC was programmed to take place from December 5 to 13, 2020. This postponement is due to the new wave of the virus which has forced many artists and troupes invited to cancel their participation.
The festival management projects to organize a program devoted to the national theatre through shows, workshops and meetings. This programming will depend on the development of the health situation and the relaxation of restrictions on cultural and artistic activities.
