Tunisia-Kairouan: 100 hectares of damaged forests due to fires in Djebel Zagdoud

The fire which broke out in Djebel Zaghdoud of El Oueslatia delegation ( Kairouan governorate )  damaged 100 hectares of the forests of Khanguet El Ouechtati.

Regional Director of civil protection Colonel Hamdi Loussif assured that five fire trucks were mobilized to control the flames with 80% of the fires being under control.

The same source noted that the causes of the fire are still unknown.
