Tunisia-Kairouan: 28 health workers tests positive for COVID-19 at Aghlabids Hospital

28 medical and paramedical workers in the Aghlabids Hospital(Kairouan governorate ) has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past three days, including 16 results that came out on Sunday, Ibn al-Jazzar hospital director Mokthar Aydi announced.

The same source affirmed that the infection included six doctors while the remaining cases were reported among paramedical, workers and one the administrators, pointing out that the largest number of infections were documented in the General Surgery Department, while the rest were recorded in the outpatient department and the emergency department.

He pointed out that All infected have been quarantined and their health is stable, indicating that the list of those in contact with the 16 people whose analyzes were issued on Sunday evening will be limited.

He also confirmed that during the past three days, 200 samples were lifted for medical and paramedical workers, of which 100 samples were issued (28 positives and the rest negative), pending the release of the results of the remaining 100 samples.
