Tunisia-Kairouan: A new case of waste

Citizens of the region have issued a distress cry, after the discovery of tons of “recycled waste” of unexplained origin, this Wednesday, December 30, 2020, in the commune of Chebika, in the governorate of Kairouan, reads a press by the municipality.

Chbika mayor followed by local officials and agents of the National Guard visited the scene and a specialist was tasked to review the waste and determine its origin, according to the same source.

Some locals believe that this is a portion of the waste imported from Italy, according to some comments on the municipality’s page.
