Tunisia-Kairouan-After 14 years of closure: Reopening of the semolina factory

The regional and local authorities officially launched, today, Thursday, the resumption of operations of the Kairouan semolina factory, after its shut down in 2008, in coordination with its owner.

Public administrations and private companies have been encouraged to link it to the electricity and water network. A foreign company will take care of the maintenance of equipment and supplies inside the plant. The people of Kairouan hailed this decision because of the lack of semolina and the absence of a factory in the region.
