Tunisia- Kairouan: Power cut caused no deaths

Regional Health Director Mohamed Rouisse announced this morning that yesterday’s power cut in Kairouan did not result in any deaths of people infected by COVID-.

He revealed that the Aghlabid and Ibn Jazzar hospitals resorted to the usage of generators as soon as the cut happened and that the field hospitals have their own generators. Therefore, the shutdown had no impact on the oxygen devices in these establishments.

As for patients on artificial respirators at home, the official said he has no data that could indicate a death has occurred due to the power cut.
