Tunisia-Kais Saied insists on security and benefits of Tunisians living abroad

President of the Tunisian Republic, Kais Saied, welcomed this Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Carthage Palace, Khaled Ennouri, Minister of the Interior, and Sofiene Bessadok, Secretary of State to the Minister of the Interior in charge of national security.

This meeting focused on the general security situation in the country and the preparations underway to guarantee the best possible conditions for the return of Tunisians living abroad as well as to secure the next tourist season.

In the afternoon, President Saied likewise received Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia, Minister of Finance. During this meeting, the president insisted on the necessity to improve the system of tax advantages granted to Tunisians residing abroad and to improve the conditions and procedures for their granting.

These meetings show the President’s commitment to reinforcing internal security and improving tax conditions for Tunisians living abroad, intending to encourage their return and support the national economy through a successful tourist season.
