Tunisia-Kaïs Saïed instructs the Minister of the Interior to intervene in Sfax

The President of the Republic, Kais Saied met this Monday, November 8, 2021 with prime minister Najla Bouden and Taoufik Charfeddine, Minister of the Interior at Carthage palace to examine the environmental situation in Tunisia and especially in Sfax.

According to the statement released, at the conclusion of this meeting, the head of the state evoked that Tunisia was a united country and no one is above the law.

There is no question of hurting the health of citizens. Medium and short term solutions were considered, Mr Saied similarly emphasised that the current situation cannot continue. He, therefore, mandated the Minister of the Interior to intervene immediately and put an ending to the catastrophic situation in Sfax.
