Tunisia-Kais Saied: Next presidential elections will be held as scheduled

 President of the republic Kais Saied met with  ISIE president, Farouk Bouasker, to examine the preparation and integrity of the upcoming electoral events.

During this meeting, Bouasker submitted the activity and financial reports of the ISIE for the year 2022, underscoring the efforts made to ensure a transparent and fair electoral process in Tunisia.

Fight Against Electoral Infringements

President Saied insisted on the significance of punishing any legal infraction, highlighting the necessity for close cooperation between all state authorities to preserve the sanctity of the electoral process.

Towards an Eradication of Questionable Financing

A particular focus was set on the risks of corrupt financing of electoral campaigns, with a call to effectively fight the influence of dirty money on elections.

Confirmation of the Maintenance of Future Due Dates

Saied reiterated respect for the dates of prior elections, affirming that all future elections, including presidential ones, will be held as scheduled, despite attempts at boycotts and manipulation.
