Tunisia: Kais Saied receives professors of constitutional law

The President of the Republic, Kais Saied welcomed this Tuesday, January 18, 2022,  Deans Sadok Belaid and Mohamed Salah Benaissa, and the professor of constitutional law at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Sousse, Amine Mahfoudh at  Carthage Palace.

 

The meeting covered a number of issues connected to legal and policy aspects. A number of legal solutions for the following step were considered. The next stage will observe the definitive break with “the period prior to July 25”. The axis of justice was also cited because rights and freedoms can only be secured through real justice and courts where everyone is on an equal footing.

Saied stressed that “constitutions, political and other institutions are not an end in themselves, but rather the accomplishment of the purposes for which they were established”. The President of the Republic likewise reiterated his concern and his determination to apply freedom and justice in practice.
