Tunisia – Kasserine: Arrest of governorate official for alleged corruption

The official spokesman for the Kasserine courts and first assistant to the attorney general at the court Imad Al-Omri, announced today Tuesday that the public prosecutor at the Kasserine Court of First Instance authorized an inspection brigade in Kasserine to incarcerate a senior official from the Kasserine governorate.

The official spokesman clarified that the judicial decision to detain was due to suspicions that “a public official would exploit his position to obtain an unjustified advantage for himself or others and harm the administration.”
