Tunisia-Kasserine-Bread shortage: UGTT calls on the government to fight speculation
The Regional Labor Union in Kasserine condemned the decline of the social and economic situation of the country.The UGTT furthermore attributed the responsibility for the deterioration of the social situation to the State, calling on it to battle against all forms of monopoly and speculation.
Saying that food security is a red line, the Union cautioned of the shortage of several foodstuffs. It added that some bakery owners even took the chance to increase the price of the baguette and reduce its size.
