Tunisia – Kasserine: child injured in explosion of mine in Jebel Salloum

The regional health director of Kasserine, Abdelghani Chaabani, confirmed to the press that a mine blasted on a 15-year-old child, in Jebel Salloum,  in the Qanna area located between the southern delegations of Kasserine and Hassi El Frid, causing shrapnel wounds to the child which required his transfer for treatment to the Kasserine regional hospital, today Sunday December 17, 2023.

He specified that the child’s health condition is stable after receiving treatment.

The child was cutting Halfa, with his mother, in the mountains, to provide for the needs of his family, and his social situation is considered extremely difficult, according to preliminary data.
