Tunisia-Kasserine: Successful operation for man injured in mine explosion

Abdelghani Chaabani, regional director of health in the governorate of Kasserine, revealed that the regional hospital received today, Monday November 6, 2023, a 30-year-old young man from the Faj Bouhssine region, after being wounded by the mine blast at Mount Chaambi, while he was tending his sheep.

In a statement made to Tunisie Numérique correspondent, he added that the young man had suffered an amputation of his left leg and other injuries that impacted his hand and head, and that he had undergone successful surgery.

He affirms that the victim is still receiving the required first aid and that his state of health has been described as critical, despite the success of the surgical operation he underwent.
