The prosecution at the Kef Court of First Instance authorized the opening of an inquiry into charges linked to premeditated assassination and the carrying and possession of a bladed weapon without a license, following an incident on Monday morning in Dahmani, in which a 19-year-old young man was killed. This information was confirmed to the press by Yousri Al-Hawami, the first deputy of the public prosecutor at the Kef Court of First Instance and its official spokesperson.
Al-Hawami added that the incident started with an altercation this morning in Dahmani between a 15-year-old boy and another person. The 19-year-old victim intervened to settle the dispute but was stabbed in the abdomen with a sharp object by the 15-year-old. The victim died after being transferred to the hospital due to the severity of his injury.
Al-Hawami confirmed that the investigating judge of the Kef Court of First Instance is committed to investigating the circumstances of the crime and that the perpetrator is in custody pending the investigation.
