Tunisia- Khaled Krichi: Echaâb supports Kais Saied’s initiative

MP Echaab Khaled Krichi stated that the President of the Republic, Kais Saied had adopted the general principles of the initiative offered by the UGTT. He continued that the Head of State is open to all components of the political scene wanting to get the nation out of the crisis.

“The stubbornness of Hichem Mechichi” is the principal cause of the delay in starting the National Dialogue, Krichi said, referring to the latest cabinet reshuffle which he said simply aims to get into the good graces of the parties that support the government.

Revealing his enthusiasm for the idea of involving young people and civil society, the MP emphasised that the resignation of Hichem Mechichi from his post as prime minister appears to be an essential condition for the success of the dialogue
