The House of People’s Representatives on Thursday approved the bill for the credit agreement given by the European Union to Tunisia. This is a financial assistance loan in the amount of 600 million euros.
On the sidelines of the adoption of the credit agreement,Minister of Economy Ali Kooli confirmed that the government is operating to guarantee the sum of 18.5 billion dinars.
He added that Tunisia needs credits to be able to pay wages, pensions and support investment and subsidies. There is also the repayment of foreign debts, he recalled.
