Tunisia-Lack of quorum at Justice Minister hearing: Samia Abbou condemns

In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, Democratic Current MP Samia Abbou condemned the cancellation of the hearing of the Minister of Justice due to the lack of quorum.

She concluded that the PDL is far from being the single bloc that disrupts parliamentary work, emphasising that the battle against corrupt justice and Islamist associations, in particular the International Union of Muslim scholars, should, in theory, be carried out under the dome of Parliament.

The parliamentary coalition, particularly the Ennahdha bloc, is principally responsible for the lack of quorum because, unlike opposition MPs, the former represents the majority, she added, maintaining that the taxpayer is now paying the costs of an assembly that does not work.
