Tunisia – Lamb meat offered at 32 ET per kilo during Ramadan

The CEO of the Allouhoum company, from Wardiya, Tarek Ben Jazia, revealed that the company will keep a price of 32 dinars per kilo, for lamb meat during Ramadan, emphasising that this price will be at the expense of the company’s profit margin.

He affirmed that there is a program to open 15 points of sale in Tunis, initially, after which this program will be broadcast throughout the territory of the Republic to provide red meat at affordable prices.

Concerning the possibility of importing quantities of red meat, Ben Jazia stated that international prices are increasing, revealing that until now, in the absence of a supplier, we will rely on the local market.

Ben Jazia said that the company has quantities of meat that will be employed during the month of Ramadan, noting that the quantities scheduled for the year 2024 are of the order of 500 tons of lamb and 1,500 tons of beef.
