Speaking to “Moyen Orient” newspaper, Ennadha member Ali Laarayedh affirmed that the party bears a vast deal of responsibility for the worsening of the political crisis in Tunisia and the failure to manage the State after the revolution.
Laarayedh pointed out that staying in power and signing political ties at all costs to stay in power has had negative consequences. Ennahdha could have played the role of the opposition to face the parties in power, which would have served both Ennahdha and Tunisia
He, on the other hand, indicated that one could in no case ascribe to Ennahdha the responsibility for what occurred on July 25th. Responsibility is shared and all other parties have their share of political and social responsibility in this crisis, he said.
