Tunisia-Lassaad Yaakoubi threatens to hold new protests

The secretary-general of Tunisia’s secondary school teachers’ union Lassaad Yacoubi warned the government to ignite protest again if the teachers’ bonuses are not distributed after the approval of the supplementary budget for the year 2019.

“The union has already displayed flexibility,” Yacoubi told the TAP agency, asserting that the union has so far evaded demonstration due to the country political situation.
