Tunisia-Lassaad Yaakoubi threatens to suspend classes

The general secretary of the secondary education union, Lassaâd Yaâkoubi has threatened to halt classes because of the failure of the education ministry to honour its engagements to teachers and education.
The era of empty vows is over. The Federation of Secondary Education will no longer give the authorities any further extensions, he added. Several educational institutions are suffering from decaying infrastructure, Lassaad Yaakoubi said, maintaining that such conditions are not conducive to the resumption of classes.
