Tunisia – Legal complaints filed against demonstrators who block phosphate production

The agents and executives of phosphates of Gafsa filed a complaint with the court of first instance of Gafsa, against demonstrators who have been blocking for months production in the mining basin.

The plaintiffs state that they uphold the right to protest of all citizens, but this must in no way intervene with the freedom to operate. They say the demonstrations have halted production, and the company has found it hard to pay wages.
