Tunisia-Leila Haddad: Government must resign

The People’s Movement MP Leila Haddad said that Tunisia is suffering an unprecedented economic and financial crisis and that to reach a resolution, the government must agree to leave.

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique after the dialogue session with the governor of the BCT, the MP suggested that Marouane Abassi’s declarations that he could lower the inflation rate had given Tunisians a glimmer of hope.

His speech is quite different from the given by the Minister of Finance, she noted.

The MP added that the government has presented no strategy, pointing out that did not collaborate with the different institutions to convince the IMF, which will have severe repercussions on the economic level (lifting of subsidies on basic products, non-payment of salaries, etc.), but also on the social level.
