Head of the U.N. Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Stephanie Williams declared the launch of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF), stating it would hold its first meeting online on Monday. In-person talks are due to start on Nov. 9 in Tunisia.
Williams expressed her gratitude to the Tunisian government for all the exceptional facilities to ensure the Forum `despite all the challenges related to the COVID-1 pandemic. ”
She further welcomed the political and material valuable support given by members of the international community and the contributions made by the neighbouring countries of Libya to advance the peace process.
