Tunisia-liquefied gas grant replaced by a monthly bonus from 2026

The liquefied gas grant or domestic gas will be lifted from 2026 and will be oriented to the beneficiaries, giving each household a bonus of 54 dinars per month, according to the Director General of Hydrocarbons at the Ministry of Rachid Ben Industry Dali, on the sidelines of an online debate organized by the Arab Institute of Business Manager (IAECE).

Rachid Ben Dali has clarified that the automatic regulation of hydrocarbon prices does not involve the gas bottle, knowing that the actual price of a bottle without subsidy is almost 35 dinars.
The State takes charge of 27 dinars in the form of a subsidy so that the citizen can purchase it at 8,800 dinars.

The entire subsidy given by the State for domestic gas bottles amounts to 1.2 billion dinars, a sum which largely surpasses the fuel subsidy estimated at 900 MD in 2022, according to the official.
