Tunisia-List of candidates for Prime Ministry

After the resignation of prime minister, Eleyes Fakhfakh from his post, the President of the Republic, Kais Saïed initiated deliberations with the political parties to elect the personality most able to succeed Fakhfakh, according to article 89 of the constitution.

To this point, the numerous political parties submitted their candidates for this post. In the following is the list of each party.

  1. Ennahdha party submitted 2 candidates:
  • Mohamed Fadhel Abdelkefi
  • Khayem Turki

2.  Bloc National proposed 4 candidates :

  • Hatem Mliki
  • Ridha Charfeddine
  • Fadhel Abdelkefi
  • Hakim Ben Hammouda

3.  9alb Tounes party proposed 2 candidates  :

  • Mohamed Fadhel Abdelkefi
  • Khayem Turki

4. Attayar party proposed 3 candidates:

  • Mohamed Abbou
  • Ghazi Chaouachi
  • Mohamed Hamdi

5.  Al Badil party proposed 3 candidates:

  • Mohamed Fadhel Abdelkafi
  • Hakim Ben Hamouda
  • Khayem Turki
  • Khaled Ben Kaddour
  • Ali kooli

6. Al Mostakbal bloc proposed 6 candidates. :

  • Mohamed Fadhel Abdelkafi
  • Hakim Ben Hamouda
  • Khayem Turki
  • Wadii Al Jarii
  • Mohamed lotfi Mraihi
  • Mohamed Hechmi Hamdi.

7. “Amal wa 3amal” proposed 4 candidates:

  • Former Minister of Health: Sonia Ben Cheikh
  • Former Minister of Health: Abdellatif Mekki
  • Minister of Women, Family, Children and the Elderly: Asma Sehiri
  • ormer leader in the Congress for the Republic (CPR): Imed Deymi

8. Tahya Tounes proposed 5 candidates:

  • Sonia Ben Cheikh
  • Mohamed Fadhel Abdelkefi
  • Hakim ben Hammouda
  • Khayem Turki
  • Wadii Jarii

9. Farmers’ Voice Party presented 5 candidate:

  • Safi Said
  • Mongi hamdi
  • Fethi Zouhair
  • Ghazi Chaouachi
  • Sonia Ben Cheikh

9. The resigning deputies of Tahya Tounes (Mabrouk Kourchid, Ayachi Zemmel and Kamel Aouadi) presented 3 candidates:

  • Fadhel Abdelkefi
  • Ghazi Jribi
  • Khaled Ben Kaddour

Republican People’s Union presented only one candidate. :

  • Lotfi Mraïhi

Note that the Free Destourien Party, the People’s Movement and the El Karama coalition did not present any candidates.
