Tunisia-Live: Public health workers begin nationwide strike

Public health workers are observing a strike throughout the country, at the call of the general health union under the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT).

They command the implementation of arrangements linking to the specific statutes of health personnel and to benefit from the provisions of Article 2 of the Civil Service Law.

All public health services, but emergencies, will be suspended during this sector-based general strike, which concerns workers in hospitals and health facilities as well as local and central departments under the jurisdiction of the Health Ministry.
