Tunisia-Local elections: 50 appeals to Administrative Court

The Administrative Court reported that it has obtained, to date, 50 appeals involving disputes over candidacies for the 2023 local council elections.

14 appeals were filed at the central constituency level and 36 at the regional level spread over Sousse (2), Sidi Bouzid (9), Sfax (4), Nabeul (1), Mednine (5), Le Kef ( 3), Kairouan (2), Kasserine (5), Gafsa (2) and Gabès (3).

Note that the trial chambers of the Administrative Court started holding pleading sessions on Wednesday concerning the appeals at first instance.
