Tunisia-Lockdown: List of public companies called to work

The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines announced that state-owned companies working in vital sectors will proceed to operate during the lockdown.
In the same context, the ministry called on these companies to uphold the health measures announced by the Scientific Committee for the fight against COVID-19 and to move to limit the number of people present.
These include:
  • the Tunisian Company of Refining Industries (STIR)
  • the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas (STEG)
  • the National Petroleum Distribution Company (SNDP)
  • the Tunisian Chemical Group (GCT) the Gafsa Phosphate Company (CPG)
  • the Central Laboratory for Analyzes and Experiments (LCAE)
  • the Technical Center of Agro-Food Industries (CTIA)
  • the Technical Center for Chemistry (CTC)
  • the Italian-Tunisian Petroleum Exploitation Company (SITEP)
  • the Hydrocarbons Transport Company by Pipelines (SOTRAPIL)

Note that according to the same source, other companies are called to coordinate with regional authorities in order to organise the movement of workers, if necessary, from and to workplaces.
