Tunisia- LTDH organizes demonstration in front of US embassy against “interference”

The Secretary General of the Tunisian League for Human Rights (LTDH), Béchir Laâbidi, declared on Friday July 29, 2022, a protest in front of the United States Embassy in Tunisia. This mobilization will be organized on Saturday, July 30 from 2 p.m. to condemn the interference of the United States in the internal affairs of Tunisia,

 

He told Shems FM that the National Council of the LTDH and the diverse components of civil society were invited to partake in this event.

 

Questioned on what he considers a “foreign interference”, the secretary general of the LTDH evoked the statement of the future ambassador of the United States in Tunisia, Joey R. Hood, before the commission of foreign relations of the Senate, Wednesday, July 27 2022. The latter, among other things, affirmed that his priority would be to assist put Tunisia on a more stable and prosperous trajectory.
